I'm delighted to announce that The Willow Marsh Murder, the sixth Detective Lavender Mystery is now published and available to purchase on Amazon in eBook and paperback format.  Simply follow this link or click on the image.

Ten years after the death of Irish Nell, Lavender and Woods are summoned to a remote estate in the watery fenland of Cambridgeshire to solve a murder. They soon realise they’ve come across the feuding Delamere family before – in the direst of circumstances. With no dead body and no sign of the woman who summoned them, Woods fears someone has planned a murderous revenge.

Meanwhile, Lavender dreads the disclosure of his greatest secret. A secret that, if revealed, will destroy both his career – and his relationship with Woods. Haunted by ghosts from the past, Lavender and Woods must tread a careful path through this watery and dangerous terrain in order to solve one of the most perplexing mysteries of their career.

How exciting. First I read them, then I listen to them on Audible, where they really come to life. Thank you Karen.

Will there be an audiobook for The Willow Marsh Murders? For many with sight problems or other health issue audiobooks are extremely important. I truly enjoy the Inspector Lavender series and hope an audio version will be available.

Dear Karen, I'm sorry to say that - for reasons out of my control - there won't be an audio book published for 'The Willow Marsh Murder'. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Karen Charlton x

That's terrible news---we love the audiobooks and the narrator! Is there anything we can do to urge Audible to make it happen? So disappointing. We LOVE Detective Lavender and Constable Woods. Thanks for the great reading!

MS. Charlton, I am disappointed to hear there will be no audio book for this title. I am a disabled vet, who after a long life of joyous and sometimes disappointed reading, need audio books as a closed head injury gives me problems reading for more than a few minutes. Does this have anything to do with your change of publishers and their belief they own the audio rights. At this time a gracious but untalented at reading out loud friend is reading this to me. Alas no accents, no voices, and attempts by my friend to do so leave us both either laughing or groaning. I hope future Lavender novels and even a collation of your short stories will attain audio status.

Dear Renee, I'm sorry for your disappointment. I can confirm that there won't be an audio book for The Willow Marsh Murder and yes, it is to do with my change of publisher. I'm glad you enjoy my stories. Best wishes, Karen Charlton x
